About Mt Cook/Lake Tekapo
Mt Cook is New Zealand’s highest mountain, surrounded by spectacular scenery, lakes, and glaciers.
Tekapo is home to the largest Dark Sky Reserve in the world. Stargazing takes centre stage here, with some of the world’s most pristine night skies. Free from light pollution, Tekapo attracts both professional and amateur stargazers from all over the world to witness dramatic star displays. It’s a must-see destination for any night sky enthusiast.
