This tour will start with us picking you up from your accommodation at an agreed time, then taking you on a scenic ride from Queenstown to Wānaka through the beauty of the Gibbston Valley, Kawarau Gorge, and Cromwell.

From there, we travel up the West Coast to Franz Josef. Spend time here exploring the bush walks and local attractions, including the hot spa pools.

Enjoy a helicopter ride up the glaciers or even to Mt Cook — one of the most spectacular sights you will ever experience.

Further up the coast, about 2 hours north, is Hokitika. Along the way, we can stop for refreshments and photos on the rugged coastline.

Greymouth is about 40 minutes further north, where we can stop and take in the sights before continuing another 45 minutes to the famous Pancake Rocks at Punakaiki. These incredible rock formations will take your breath away. With a little luck, the conditions will be just right to see the blowhole in action.

Back in Greymouth, we will drop you off at the train station in time to catch the TranzAlpine train back to Christchurch.

Your journey continues through lush alpine beech rainforests, up through the Otira Tunnel and into Arthur’s Pass for a short stop. The train then follows the Waimakariri River through spectacular gorges and alpine flats, descending to the Canterbury Plains and arriving in Christchurch.

We will be waiting at the station to pick you up and return you to your accommodation.

There is a lot to see on this trip, and the length of the tour really depends on which sights and activities you choose to include, as well as how long you wish to spend in these magnificent places.
